Without another word, the blonde slipped her arm around K's back and looped her in for a gentle hug. She did a little more scooching to kiss the other woman's shoulder, an approximation of apology. "Things will sort themselves out. I suppose I shall have to leave sleeping dogs lie. I'll bet whatever he's become won't appreciate half-borrowed memories of diaper changing any more than he'd appreciate them from his own progenitor." She chuckled, lightening the mood. "I have my cats. They adore the fawning, most of them."
